In 2005, I bought a few pieces of art off of Pete Bettencourt. I was mesmerized by his work. I didn’t know what it was but something about his work made me stop what I was doing to just stare and gawk. I was not an artist and lacked even the desire to create. At the time, I was managing a mortgage department, selling loans and real estate with zero experience in drawing or anything creative. Little did I know that 5 years later I would be freestyle painting with him as a colleague. This clip is moments after completing our first collaboration in an abandoned military bunker in June of 2010.
