I’m excited to share my latest sculpture, a piece that blends modern craftsmanship with ancient symbolism. Watch as a humble palm husk is transformed into a powerful neo-Aztec jaguar warrior mask, a guardian I call “Ocelotl Guardian.”
This sculpture is a personal creation, a tribute to the strength and spirit of the jaguar in Mesoamerican culture. Every curve and detail in the mask, from its fierce eyes to its intricate headdress, was hand-painted and sculpted from natural palm fronds. This process was a meditation on the connection between nature, art, and the past.
The creation of this mask was also a journey into my own heritage, honoring the artistic traditions of the Aztec people while putting a new spin on ancient iconography.
