Large-Scale Mural Installation at La Cosecha: New Chicano Art in Downtown Sacramento

The Installation at La Cosecha

The vision for the Ernesto Delgado Hospitality Group has finally taken its place in the heart of the city. I am proud to announce the permanent installation of three custom 4×8’ vertical murals at La Cosecha, located in the historic Cesar Chavez Plaza in Downtown Sacramento.

Engineering for Public Spaces

To ensure these pieces could withstand the elements and the high-traffic energy of an outdoor courtyard, we moved beyond standard wooden frames. These murals feature custom metal tube framing, providing a sleek, industrial-strength support system that allows the art to “float” within the space. This integration of metal fabrication and Chicano Art creates a modern, durable aesthetic that complements the urban landscape of Sacramento.

A Modern Tribute to Heritage

Seeing these Cubist-Abstract pieces—the portrait of Cesar Chavez and the vibrant market women—set against the backdrop of the plaza is a full-circle moment. This installation isn’t just a decoration; it’s a cultural landmark. The bold, angular lines of the Chicano Art style serve as a visual bridge between the hospitality of the Ernesto Delgado Group and the deep agricultural roots of the California Central Valley.
