Description
Volamos—meaning “We Fly”—is a testament to movement, resilience, and ancestral memory. It bridges the physical journey of the migrating monarch butterfly with the spiritual conviction that our ancestors travel alongside us across all physical borders.
Created by Chicano muralist and visual artist 2hermano, the artwork merges three distinct visual influences:
1. The Migrating Monarch: A timeless symbol of transformation, endurance, and homecomings.
2. Paquimé & Chihuahua Pottery Art: Geometric line structures, stepped diamonds, and earthy crimson, yellow, and green tones drawn directly from northern Mexican indigenous ceramic art.
3. Traditional Tattoo Flash: Heavy black outlines and high-contrast color fills reminiscent of classic Sailor Jerry tattoo discipline.
Stitched in thick, high-density embroidery across a heather gray crown with a solid black flat bill, this cap offers a bold profile engineered for long studio sessions, mural work, and street wear.
High-Density Custom Embroidery: Features 2hermano’s signature Volamos butterfly emblem rendered in rich, multi-colored threadwork.
Indigenous & Tattoo Flash Fusion: Fuses Paquimé geometric pottery motifs with classic Sailor Jerry line weight.
Two-Tone Structured Silhouette: Heather gray 5-panel crown with a contrasting black visor and top button.
Adjustable Snapback Closure: One-size-fits-most plastic snap strap for a secure, comfortable fit.
Studio Grade: Durable build designed to withstand daily wear, sun exposure, and active studio grind.
